international students

Welcome to Birmingham!!

City Church offers a warm welcome to all international students from all countries, faiths and cultures.

At home in Britain

Living in a foreign country is a great experience: new language, new settings, new people... But it can be hard at times and it is good to have friends to lean on!

Our monthly socials allow International Students (IS) :

  • to enjoy British hospitality,
  • to meet local Christians who are interested in other cultures,
  • to make genuine friendships.

Welcome to everyone!

International Student Cafes

Every week we help "Friends International" run two cafes for International Students in Birmingham. Both are on Monday from 8pm to 10pm, and provide a place to relax, make friends and practice your English. There is a special item of interest (cultural or a game or some fun activity), and all drinks and food are free.

S O Globe Cafe meets at St Wulstans Hall, Alton Road (but closed during August)

Campus Globe Cafe meets at Priorsfield, Edgbaston Park Road.
